About the Presentation

Project managers spend 80 to 90% of their time communicating to others.  Effective communication is vital to moving a project forward and completing it as required.  By providing the information to the recipient in a way that they understand it the best, communication is easier, more effective and more efficient.  This presentation will explore the basic ways that people like to receive information and will provide guidance on how to customize information to be received best.

About the Speaker

Mr. Zimmer is a Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 30 years of experience supporting various government agencies.  He devoted 15 years to supporting NASA.  This work included building and deploying the ground support equipment that sends commands and voice messages to the Space Shuttle and testing the systems that process the data from spacecraft.  Recently he has supported the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in the development and improvement of project management processes.

Mr. Zimmer is also listed as an Exposure Draft Reviewer and Contributor to the Government Extension to the PMBOK® Guide Third Edition.
