Registration is complimentary. Pre-registration is required to receive Zoom call-in information. This will be sent the day before the event and one hour prior to the start time. 

While many project management concepts, such as the triple constraint, have remained largely unchanged in the last 70 years, the role of the PM increasingly requires a new way of thinking and new tools that draw on other disciplines, including entrepreneurship, organizational psychology, and data science. Join a discussion on how PMs are incorporating elements and concepts from other fields in order to succeed in the modern workplace.

About the Speaker

Justin Cole, PMP, CSM

Managing Consultant

Justin Cole is a Managing Consultant at IBM, where he is the Project Management Office (PMO) Lead for a large healthcare information technology project with the Food & Drug Administration. Prior to his current role, he served in a variety of project management roles at the local, state, and Federal level as a disaster recovery consultant, helping grantees apply for Federal funds and administer programs following Hurricane Sandy.

Mr. Cole received his BA from Syracuse University and a Masters of Public Policy and Data Analytics from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), ICAgile certified practitioner, and is certified in SAFe DevOps. He also leads a PMP study group at IBM and is an independent PMP coach, helping early-career PMs study and prepare for taking the PMP exam.

About the M2D2 Monthly Downtown DC Meetings

PMIWDC holds a free monthly brown bag meeting at the US Department of Agriculture. These meetings are free, and open to the public, but preregistration is required.
