About the Speaker
Vlad Spanu, PMP
Mr. Vlad Spanu has expertise in project and grants management, government, consumer products, retail, higher education, e-media, and nonprofit. Before he became a Project Management Professional, he was a career diplomat and, before that, a COO (Chief Operating Officer) in his late twenties.
In the last 10 years, Mr. Vlad Spanu co-founded several start-ups in the Washington, DC area, managed projects and grants, co-authored books, wrote research papers, and policy briefs, as well as consulted on organizational development, strategic planning, and change management. Vlad is an adjunct faculty member at Bellevue University in Nebraska, teaching MBA and MPA classes: Strategic Planning and Policy Development; Critical Thinking and Applied Problem Solving; Change Management Planning; Writing Grants; and Human Capital: Self-Development. He has spoken many times at international conferences on geopolitics and regional security, briefed U.S. Government and U.S. Congress, testified before the U.S. Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe. He gave interviews to U.S. and European media.
Mr. Vlad Spanu received his Master in Public Administration from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government (2003), studied in post-Ceasescu Romania in 1990-92 to earn his Master degree in Administrative Studies, and completed his BA at the Moldova State University in Business.
