About the Presentation
Getting your PMP doesn't necessarily mean that you will be able to profitably manage projects. Projects have different contractual and financial dimensions that can impact performance from a fiscal view - even if project costs and schedule constraints are met. Project managers are not only expected to deliver quality work n time and under budget, but they also have a key role in ensuring that projects meet the two most important financial goals in most companies - profit and cash. Project Managers with a command of financial literacy as it pertains to projects will not only be able to manage projects on time and within budget, but they will also have a full spectrum understanding of projects from the view of the corporation and foster collaboration between the project team and the corporate functions looking to ensure that bottom-line financial objectives are met.
In this session, participants will learn about the essentials contractual and financial concepts needed to ensure that the company achieves the expected returns and limits exposure to financial and contractual risks. Hands-on practical exercises and examples will help translate concepts into concrete and practical skills.
