About the Program
Agile adoption typically begins in IT. ‘Non-technology’ organizations have been slow to adopt agile principles, especially at the program and portfolio levels. We often find that even project managers resist change when there is an impact to their own traditional processes! With industry demands to produce results faster, increase collaboration, and focus on customer needs, Agile is starting to gain traction across the entire Enterprise. This program is designed to encourage PMO, Portfolio, Program, and Project leaders to consider adopting Agile methods proactively in order to maximize benefits to your organization. We will explore the following topics in more depth:
- PMO: What does an Agile Enterprise PMO look like?
- Roles: What changes for Program and Project Managers when using Agile?
- Prioritization: How do we decide what goes first at the Portfolio & Program levels?
- Tools: Which Agile tools can be adopted right away to start seeing benefits?
You will leave the program with an understanding of how Agile best practices and tools can be used for all types of projects in your portfolio.

About the Speaker
Ms. Coelho has over twenty (20) years of experience in various project management and process improvement roles. This includes creating and leading Project Management Offices (PMOs), transforming processes across multiple industries as a Lean Six-sigma Master Black Belt, and experience consulting with large government and private-sector clients in various methodologies. Ms. Coelho was also part of the early adoption of Agile practices in financial services and has extensive experience transforming organizations from waterfall to Agile. Her professional accomplishments include: Success in implementing and leading multiple enterprise-wide Project Management Office (PMO) functions; Process improvement expert with success in accomplishing substantial financial benefits and recognition for achievements in Financial Services (Capital One, Fannie Mae), Retail (Asurion), Telecom (Lucent) industries, and Government; Extensive experience in analytics and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve customer experience and mitigate operational risks; Advisor and coach to Program / Project Managers, and Lean Six-sigma practitioners; Proven leader of multiple operational
About the Sunrise Valley Luncheons
The Sunrise Valley Luncheon Series (formerly the Fairview Park Luncheon Series) is held at Noblis. Noblis has recently relocated its headquarters office to Reston, VA at 2002 Edmund Halley Drive. There is no charge for these events and the event is open to the public. Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch to the event if they wish! Networking begins at 11:30am and the presentation runs from 12:00noon - 1:00pm. Non-Noblis visitors are required to show a picture ID to gain entrance to the facility.
