About the Program
These three popular process plans/improvement initiatives are widely adopted by many quality managers to mitigate business risks, enhance customer satisfaction and ensure business success. Today’s competitive environment, organizations invest heavily in process improvement effort. They are, often, confronted with a dilemma: Which is the right initiative to use?
While there many solutions available for those who wants to solve the problems confronting the organization, there is no one silver bullet-single solution. Any solution or solutions you choose make sure it fits the organization- “Goodness of Fit." To be most effective, all selected improvement initiatives should be unified, integrated - not layered or stove piped.
These leading process plans are not mutually exclusive; they can successfully co-exist in an organization. The implementation team should develop their strategy keeping in mind that multiple initiatives are interoperable. This requires a good understanding of each model, their differences, relationships, synergies, and interoperability characteristics.
Successful implementation requires an understanding of these process plans and their relationships.
This presentation will attempt to provide summary descriptions, salient features, and key considerations for adoption.

About the Speaker
V. Shanmugasundaram (Shan), the founder of LakSaNA LLC Management consultant, has developed his quality management consulting expertise while serving more than 35 years working in Defense Industry. As a Quality Assurance Manager for DRS Universal Power Systems, Shan managed Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001 Certification, Continuous Improvement Programs, and Lean manufacturing projects. He worked for DRS Sustainment system in St. Louis for more than 25 years. During that time, he has worked on projects ranging from Weapon System Development to IR&D, and Bids & Proposal. As a system engineer, he managed the Reliability Growth Program, Safety Assessment programs, Total Owner Ship (TOC) projects, and Risk Management Program. During that time, he served as a member of the Air Force Corrosion Control Advisory Committee, as well as a member of Joint Reliability and Maintainability Evaluation Team for Tunner 60K Loader Program. As Chief Engineer for Pitman, a division of Emerson Electric, he managed research & Development of material handling equipment for the military.

About the Sunrise Valley Luncheons
The Sunrise Valley Luncheon Series (formerly the Fairview Park Luncheon Series) is held at Noblis. Noblis has recently relocated its headquarters office to Reston, VA at 2002 Edmund Halley Drive. There is no charge for these events and the event is open to the public. Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch to the event if they wish! Networking begins at 11:30am and the presentation runs from 12:00noon - 1:00pm. Non-Noblis visitors are required to show a picture ID to gain entrance to the facility.
