About the Presentation
Business Relationship Management (BRM) is emerging as an essential discipline and organizational capability to optimize, realize, and sustain the value of investments in new business capability. As a discipline it is most visible and mature in managing external relationships with customers (B2C) and business partners (B2B). It is now emerging as a strategic capability within the enterprise seeking to unite internal providers and business partners across the value creation cycle. Emerging most visibly in harnessing the value of Information Technology, the BRM discipline is also applicable to optimizing the value of shared services to business partners and the enterprise at large. It’s typically present in most organizations but benign relative to its potential, typically positioned in an order taking capacity as part of the provider organization.
Program/Project Managers should find this interesting as it directly influences portfolio management and program execution across the life cycle, inclusive of organizational change management.
