About the Presentation
We have all heard many times about the importance of effective communication, but it continues to be one of the main topics that arise when dissecting why organizations are not operating at peak efficiency. Mrs. Jennifer Sanchez will give her perspective as a leader in the IT field on this critical component to success, providing tips and techniques based on a career working with customers and other stakeholders.

About the Speaker
Jennifer R. Sanchez
Jennifer R. Sanchez is the assistant director of the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In this role, she is responsible for the operations and maintenance of FBI IT systems worldwide.
Mrs. Sanchez joined the FBI in 1978 as a file clerk in the Identification Division, and she later became a fingerprint examiner. In 1980, she became a computer programmer and then a project manager for software applications used enterprise-wide. She has over thirty years of experience in all aspects of the project lifecycle, and over 10 years as a manager. Her applications have supported Bureau operations, state and local governments, and interfaced with external agency systems.
Mrs. Sanchez has been a member of the Senior Executive Service since 2008, and fosters a collaborative approach to problem solving. She is a firm believer that effective communication is a huge factor in ensuring operational success. In May 2009, Mrs. Sanchez was named one of CIO Magazine’s “Ones to Watch” in information Technology for Outstanding Leadership. She is also a recipient of the 2011 Presidential Rank Award for Meritorious Service by a Federal Government Executive.
Mrs. Sanchez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, a Master of Science degree in information systems and graduate certificates in software engineering and information engineering. She has been a certified Project Management Professional since 2005.
