About the Program
Project management professionals must understand the business case of the projects they are managing and may be required to report performance metrics indicating how the project is contributing to overall organizational strategy. To help ensure proper portfolio management and alignment, it is important for project managers to understand how their projects map to overall organizational strategy. Attendees will learn how to map project performance measures to the organization’s mission and vision and see how this can be automated. This presentation will use a balanced scorecard approach to investigate how strategic planning merges with project management, the role that quality assurance plays in the overall infrastructure, and how critical this intersection is to the organization, especially in today economy and budget shortfalls.
