Susan Schwartz, PMP
Susan Schwartz works to support and promote the project management profession as a volunteer for PMIWDC. She currently serves on the Governance Board as a Director-at-Large.
Throughout her career she led a variety of government and corporate teams successfully through organizational change bringing projects to completion – on time and under budget. She credits the cross-functional, global team successes to a combination of process review, crucial conversations, and knowledge sharing strategies.
For the past six years, she has been an adjunct professor at George Mason University Learning solutions teaching project management and leadership courses. Additionally, she facilitated educational seminars for the Project Management Institute, The Association of Talent Development, The American Society of Quality, and the Society for Human Resources.
This past January, Susan released her first book, Creating a Greater Whole: A Project Manager‘s Guide to Becoming a Leader which unlocks the not-so-secret secrets of what aspiring managers need to become strong leaders. It’s practical “outcome-tested” strategies and thought-provoking questions offer readers a means to craft a personalized framework to help them learn how to help people come together to create something larger than themselves.
