Every year, the holidays roll around. Every year they drip with tradition. And every year, they bring surprises. As surely as Aunt Edna is destined to share the story of you at age 4 in her high heels, some of those surprises can be expected. The same can be said of our projects! On every project, there are traditions we come to expect. Forgotten forms. Last-minute leave requests. And yet, with the same degree of certainty that we have that someone will burn the dinner rolls--we can foresee the risks. In this engaging (and timely) presentation, Carl Pritchard (PMP, PMI-RMP, and PMI award-winner) explains how we can leverage that foresight into better project management and a smoother holiday season (and smoother projects). He also takes a look at the opportunity perspective of risk, and how we may be far better off if we at least pretend to believe in Santa Claus (Carl does, by the way).
