This two-day Agile Training course offers hands-on practices in Iteration Planning, Product Roadmap and Backlog, Estimating Practices, User Story Development and Iteration Execution.
The classroom course will be broken up into Agile teams and your expert instructor will drive each team through the Agile process from vision development to daily planning and execution. Through hands-on exercises you will put the knowledge, skills, tools and techniques taught to work in the classroom. This course is a stimulating combination of class interaction, active learning exercises, and group collaboration. Each is designed to allow you to learn through practice so you can readily apply what you have learned in your own workplace right away. This course has been approved and earns all students the Certified IC Agile Professional designation upon completion of the course. Additionally, a total of 14 PDUs will be available upon completion of the course.
This Agile training course instruction will be provided by ASPE the nation’s largest Agile training provider. ASPE has trained more than 20,000 professionals in all aspects of Agile.
Attendees who complete our Agile Boot Camp will receive ICAgile Certified Professional designation based on their exposure to the Agile Fundamentals learning objectives. The ICP designation verifies that the attendee has been introduced to Agile History & Mindset, Individuals & Interactions, Value–Driven Development, Consumer & User Involvement, and Planning and Adapting.
• Structure a team with generalizing specialists so the team can develop working software incrementally
• Practice and maintain a regular cadence when delivering working software each iteration
• Follow the team approach; start as a team, finish as a team — and focus on delivering value to the organization
• Learn the different approach to Agile architecture and design that supports a more incremental and emergent project.
• Gain knowledge and understanding of Agile principles and why they are so important for each team
• Embrace the five levels of planning and recognize the value of continuous planning
• Build a backlog of prioritized and estimated user stories that provides emergent requirements for analysis and foster customer engagement and understanding
• Engage in more effective estimating (story points) and become more accurate by being less precise
• Create accurate Agile release plans that connect you back to business expectations – including hard date commitments and fixed price models
Printed materials are included for each participant. Presentation material in a spiral bound booklet, Agile Planning Poker cards, ASPE Post-its and Agile Glossary of Terms. Attendees of this course will also receive our Agile Concepts & Skills Assessment, to measure the increase in knowledge and skills before and after training.

About the Speakers
Mark Arntz, CSM, PMP, PMI-ACP, ICP BVA
ASPE’s Mark Arntz is an IT industry professional with more than 25 years of experience in project management, application management, software development, business analysis, operations management, and more. Mark specializes in helping teams in government and public sector organizations solve the specific challenges of these environments. He has taught numerous agencies and organizations how to adapt and adopt Agile practices in the government, including specific trouble areas such as acquisition, contracting, compliance and regulatory issues. He has taught Agile boot camps and workshops to government groups including DoD, VA, FCC, Voice of America, State of Montana, Saskatchewan Gov’t Insurance, Insurance Corp of British Columbia, and other organizations that work as government contractors.
Mark earned his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), an Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Six Sigma Green Belt, and CSM with 25+ years of experience in information systems development and support. His background has consistently emphasized the implementation of SDLC methodologies & other project management tools. He is experienced in Agile, the Capability Maturity Model, Lean, and Six Sigma. He is passionate about teaching and mentoring others to help them reach their full potential.
Mark has experience and certifications in both Agile and waterfall, which give him a unique perspective that allows him to reconcile the problems his students are having. His years of consulting have taught him to learn quickly from students and adapt to their challenges. Mark teaches students based on the success factors they give him, so he ensures students get the most value out of the class.
