About the Event

In this highly interactive session, you will learn how to scale Agile across multiple teams by adopting the core elements of the Scaled Agile framework. From setting common deliverables to establishing priorities, these elements will ensure that your teams are in sync and delivering value to business. We’ll cover how the framework applies to project managers, how it interests with the PMOK, and give some tips for utilizing both methodologies in your projects.

About the Speaker

Andy Rivers

Senior Advisor

Andy Rivers is a Senior Advisor at BEYOND20. Andy has worked in IT for over 15 years and has extensive experience in Higher Education. Prior to joining BEYOND20, Andy was the Associate CIO for the University of Tennessee, where he was responsible for implementing statewide projects and initiatives for the university’s four campuses and three institutes. Andy holds a Bachelors in MIS and a Masters in Telecommunication System Management (TSM), with a variety of IT certifications including ITIL Expert, Certified Scrum Master, and Security+.

About the Reston Local Community

Each month, PMIWDC Reston Local Community volunteers strive to bring you interesting and informative speakers from a wide range of professions. They present these speakers to you at the Leidos building or other organization located at Reston Town center. This is an opportunity to network with other professionals of the PMI. The conference center at Leidos offers a maximum seating of approximately 30 guests. Pre-registration is required. Luncheons are held every third Wednesday of the month.
