About the Event
Many executives understand the importance of a successful digital transformation for their organization; however, potential key barriers are preventing them being digitally enabled.
This session identifies key potential barriers to digital transformation and viable strategies for small and mid-market business owners and executives. By avoiding these pitfalls, executives can quickly and effectively transform their business to lower costs, implement better operational controls, and offer more competitive prices to eliminate the risk of digital disruptors.
The 7 Steps to Digital Transformation outlined the steps to a successful digital transformation. This topic is the next session in the series to guide small and midmarket companies through a successful digital transformation.

About the Speaker
Phillip Simulis is the founder and CEO of Simtelligent, which provides technology solutions, management and training for clients ranging from non-profits to large corporations. Phillip has more than 13 years of experience designing innovative solutions in health insurance, medical, research and development, federal, financial and commissary industries. He is known as an early adopter who integrates new technology solutions into existing environments and trains teams on how to best use the new technology in their environment.
Phillip’s track record of managing projects while thoroughly understanding the underlying technology has provided opportunities where companies are cutting back resources yet need to deliver solid, scalable solutions in a timely manner. His ability to think outside the box has solved technical challenges when his clients have had no viable options. Phillip currently volunteers with the PMIWDC New Member Welcome Committee and Project Management Day of Service (PMDoS) 2016.
About the Reston Local Community
Each month, PMIWDC Reston Local Community volunteers strive to bring you interesting and informative speakers from a wide range of professions. They present these speakers to you at the Leidos building or other organization located at Reston Town center. This is an opportunity to network with other professionals of the PMI. The conference center at Leidos offers a maximum seating of approximately 30 guests. Pre-registration is required. Luncheons are held every third Wednesday of the month.
