About the Program

There is a new-breed of Product and Marketing practice called “Offer Management”. Offer Management is 22 years of product and marketing experience and consolidated best practices brought up-to-date to work effectively in the B2B, B2C, cloud and web worlds today.

This presentation will explain why it is important to replace traditional product and marketing practices with an Offer Management practice. The new non-tech buyers that want business solutions and outcomes, not products and technology, drive the need to change.

Because an offer is what is bought and consumed by customers, it is critical to align the entire company on the offers. If development builds and sales sells, then Offer Management is all things in between. Offer Management will drive company alignment and focus on customer outcomes.

The scope of Offer Management includes the purview of traditional Product Management, Product Marketing and Marketing. The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) is the internal customer of Offer Management and Offer Management is 100% accountable to the CRO. The development and operations teams are 100% accountable to Offer Management and must deliver the offer.

A cross-functional team to bring an offer to market, an Offer Introduction Lead facilitates the team that ensure offer readiness. The role encompasses traditional program leadership, product introduction and release management skills.

About the Speaker

David Bukovsky

David Bukovsky has an established track record of launching and growing products into global market leaders. He launched the cloud business at Genesys, created the product practice at BroadSoft and achieved the industry’s first commercial softswitch deployment while at Cisco to create a brand new technology segment.

Over a span of 30 years he has complied best practices and “blueprints” that he adjusts to stay current with technology trends and ahead of the competition. He is known for his transformative product and marketing practices, which he is currently compiling for his first business book. David split his time between DC and the Silicon Valley for 20 years and he now brings a California culture to DC firms.

Mr. Bukovksy’s experience ranges from big companies such as IBM, Verizon and Cisco to former startups like BroadSoft and Genesys. He founded a consulting firm along with several other startups (in incubation or parked).

David launched the cloud solutions at Genesys by establishing an all-encompassing and new offer management practice to own and grow the cloud business. He rationalized products, process and people from organic assets plus those of four acquisitions to build a $115 million cloud business with a 200% bookings growth inside of 18 months.

He is also noted for establishing the Product, Solution and Product Marketing practices and launching the cloud portfolio at white-label Unified Communications and mobile technology supplier BroadSoft. He helped to grow the company’s revenues at a 30% annual rate to deliver a successful exit and an exceptional post-IPO valuation.

David was a Voice-over-IP (VoIP) pioneer when he launched the softswitch business and service provider voice solutions at Cisco in the late 90’s. This was newly invented and unproven technology at the time, but it eventually became the de facto way to transmit communications, driving billions in related revenue for Cisco.
