A Case study observation of a project received zero defects in the first User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycle.

Even with today’s technology advancements in computer programming languages and tools to support development of software applications, the industry still struggles with producing software that meets their client’s satisfaction. How many times have you ever heard a Project Manager (PM) say they received zero defects on the first User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycle? If you are like most people working in the Information Technology industry today, you probably never have. However this case study observed just an instance where the project received zero defects in the first UAT cycle with the client’s full satisfactions in receiving all the desired changes to their application. In this project, it introduced three new project technics called Requirements Acceptance Criteria (RAC), a the concept of the "right of voice" and Project Total Complexity Number (PTCN). These new techniques alone in this project did not guarantee zero defects but it is in which these new project techniques were applied that inadvertently created a collaborative environment to allow the project to receive zero defects.
