About the Speakers
Mr. Merrill holds a Master’s of Science in Technology Management and Computer Applications from American University, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from University of Tennessee. He is a Project Management Institute (PMI®) certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM), ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP), ITIL V3 certified, and Scaled Agile Academy SAFe Certified Agilist (SA).
He joined Edwards Project Solutions in 2014 as Vice President of Solutions. In this position, Mr. Merrill is directly responsible for the company’s Solution Areas. He is also accountable for Lean/Agile management as well as the development and implementation of the Edwards agile portfolio management methodology (ECHO). Mr. Merrill ensures the company is delivering products, services, and personnel to satisfy all contractual requirements. He leads the integration of emerging technologies with transformative management practices to deliver customer value.
Before joining Edwards, Mr. Merrill consulted for six technology firms over a period of seven years to develop advanced portfolio solutions, agile strategies, agile management, IT strategic management programs, and CMMI Level 3 compliance. Preceding his consultancy, Mr. Merrill served divisional vice president with P&L responsibilities for Network Specialty Group, NextLinx, and other IT consulting firms in the Washington metropolitan area.
