About the Event

While project management has always been an important part of managing communications satellites life cycle, the rise of a new generation of satellites known as "High Throughput Satellites" or HTS lead to higher costs and risks. Project costs of several hundred million dollars and with highly sophisticated technology on board is common now. This, in turn, meant an even bigger role for project management in HTS satellite projects. We will discuss this evolving role in the context of developments in the communications satellite industry.
