About the Speaker
Nadine Pottinga was named The United Way of the Northern Shenandoah Valley President/Chief Executive Officer on December 31, 2014.
Nadine has a great deal of experience leading non-profit organizations projects and successfully raising funds. Since February 2013, Nadine served as the Director of Development for the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation. Her responsibilities include providing strategic planning, project planning and management support under the direction of the Foundation’s leadership team. From July 2009 through February 2013, Nadine worked for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She initially served as the Fundraising Coordinator before being promoted to Executive Director in May 2011. During her tenure, she successfully led efforts to create a strategic plan that identified, cultivated and solicited donors and corporate partners to achieve an annual $2 million budget. She has a bachelor’s degree in Education from Bethel University in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Nadine is a member of the Rotary Club of Winchester and a member of the Housing and Community Services Policy Board through the Northern Shenandoah Valley Regional Commission. Nadine and her husband Jonathan and their three dogs live in Boyce, VA. They love traveling, going on cruises and camping in their travel trailer.

The DC Chapter of the Project Management Institute is pleased to host a new quarterly meeting in Winchester, VA. Membership in PMI and/or the DC Chapter is not required, however PDUs will be available for Project Management Professionals (PMPs). The presentations delivered are educational and informative to those with an interest in the field of project management. Each event will present specific learning points, unique to the presenter's area of expertise and the subject matter discussed while directly relating to improving the practice of managing projects and leading others.
