Course Description:

Do you find the thought of the 2000+ page Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) overwhelming? You're not alone! Spend a day with Kenneth Morilak, Business Contracts Analyst and a Federal Contracts Management Consultant, as he demystifies the FAR.

You'll focus on critical FAR components and learn key concepts about the regulations that govern federal contracts. This seminar includes a practical review of contract performance and administration, incorporating lecture, real-life examples and group exercises. Learn about some of the most important aspects of government contracting, including the kick-off meeting, planning, modifications, and invoicing. Before the day is through, you'll also become familiar with contract closeout procedures, including final contract deliverables and products, resolving contract issues, and final invoices and payments.

About the Instructor

Kenneth Morilak, CPCM
NCMA Certified Federal Contracts Manager

Kenneth J. Morilak is currently a Business Contracts Analyst for a federal contractor and a Federal Contracts Management Consultant. In addition to his consulting work, Mr. Morilak is an instructor for the Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Federal Contracts Management Certificate Program.

Mr. Morilak holds a master’s degree in Public Administration and Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore. He is currently doing his post graduate studies in Procurement and Acquisition Management at the University of Virginia.  He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Judge Advocates Contracting Law course as well as a Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) and a Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) the most senior level contracts certification offered in the civilian sector.
