The intent of this presentation is to provide PMs with real insights and tools to address some of the common challenges they face. During the session, participants will break down the elements of trustworthiness and what it means to be trustworthy, challenge conventional wisdom on bad news, and learn a tried and true technique for delivering bad news. The presentation pulls from the Trusted Advisor (Maister, Green, and Galford), Trust-Based Selling (Green) and The Trusted Advisor Fieldbook (Green and Howe).
About the Speaker
Cate Gregory is a consultant with Trusted Advisor Associates..
An executive coach, experienced management and strategy consultant, speaker, and session leader, Ms. Gregory specializes in outfitting clients to take on their most complex and daunting challenges. She brings her knowledge of organizational dynamics, systems theory, and leadership development to tackle technically and socially complex issues.
Blending humor with experience and insight, Ms. Gregory helps clients identify and address the fundamental challenges to their personal and organizational success. She leaves her audiences with the tools, mindsets, methodologies and confidence to achieve their desired outcomes.
Cate holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia, and received her Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University. She is certified to administer The Leadership Circle™ 360 Assessment and Culture Survey, the Drexler/Sibbet Team Performance™ Model, and the DiSC profile. Cate also outfits leaders with The PRIMES, universal patterns of group behavior that can be used to solve any problem.
About the Reston Local Community
Each month, PMIWDC Reston Local Community volunteers strive to bring you interesting and informative speakers from a wide range of professions. They present these speakers to you at the Leidos building or other organization located at Reston Town center. This is an opportunity to network with other professionals of the PMI.
