FY14 brings many challenges for the Global Economy as well as Federal Contractors. Not the least of which is Sequestration. Although intended to reduce government spending there are some Unexpected Consequences of Sequestration. How will all of this impact Contractor Staffing? Hear some of the observations about FY14 from the CEO of Avaya Government Solutions.

About the Speaker

Mike Paige

President and CEO
Avaya Government Solutions, Inc.

Mr. Mike Paige is the President and CEO of Avaya Government Solutions, Inc. responsible for Government Products and products related Services and Avaya Government Solutions IT Professional Services.  Prior to Avaya Government Solutions, Mr. Paige was President and Chief Operation Officer of Nortel Government Solutions responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of Nortel Government Solutions and its business with the U.S. Government including departments of Defense and Homeland Security, as well as intelligence and civilian agencies.  He joined Nortel Federal Solutions in July 2004 and served as its vice president.

Prior to Nortel Government Solutions, Mr. Paige was the deputy general manager of the Applied Technologies Section of The Titan Corporation.  Previously, he was the CIO and Vice President of Government Finance and Contracts for The Titan Corporation.  In March 2001, he joined Titan Systems Corporation as the chief financial officer and guided its growth from $700 million in annual revenue to $2 billion.

Prior to joining Titan, Mr. Paige was with TRW, Inc for 22 years.  He served as the Vice President of Finance and Business Operations for TRW’s $2 billion Space and Electronics Group from May 1998 through March 2001 responsible for government cost accounting and compliance, financial reporting and forecasting, contracts, purchasing, pricing, information system, business administration, and the legal and ethical compliance program.  From January 1996 through May 1998, he served in a similar capacity as the Vice President of Finance for TRW’s $2 billion Systems Integration Group.

Mr. Paige received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Hofstra University in 1974 and a Master of Business Administration degree from The Roth Graduate School of Business in 1977.  He is a CPA in the state of Texas.
