Strategic project management involves both leading and managing; it involves skills that can be developed and it is in high demand throughout the world as organizations are learning to do more with less resources. We will discuss practical techniques for how to negotiate effectively, utilizing influencing skills in matrixed environments to get buy-in from all affected parties to get better results, navigating organizational factors that impact projects, and how leading and managing skill sets both come into play in order to succeed. As you manage projects strategically, you will differentiate yourself and prove your value to your organization and your customers.
