About the Program
This is a brown bag – bring your own - luncheon meeting for Tyson's Corner location in Northern Virginia. Our presenter, Mr, Hector Del Castillo, will present, “Introduction to the Seven Phase Product Lifecycle”
- What is the seven phase product lifecycle?
- What are key activities and deliverables within each phase?
- Why should you adopt the seven phase product management process within your company?
All products go through a lifecycle, whether or not a product vendor realizes and/or acknowledges it. Hector Del Castillo will explain the seven phase product lifecycle that is the basis for the Association of International Product Management & Marketing (AIPMM) Body of Knowledge (ProdBOK®). Various industry leaders have adopted this approach to increase the likelihood of product success in the marketplace.
This presentation will discuss key activities, deliverables and critical decisions that must be taken into account within each phase of the product lifecycle to minimize risk. Each key deliverable captures the rationale for making critical decisions that must be made in order for a product to increase the likelihood of success in the marketplace. If a company leaves out any of these, it risks product failure because it doesn’t consider critical issues. By understanding the phases of the product lifecycle, a company can avoid common mistakes and rework that can be disastrous. Product vendors which understand and implement this process have a higher likelihood of building great products that delight product stakeholders and are more profitable.
In Tysons Corner, entries into parking from Hwy 7, near intersections of Westpark Drive or Greensboro Drive. Photo ID is required. SAIC Drive is a roundabout at the end of ‘Solutions Drive.’ Guest parking is free. Easiest to enter at front of building (large glass atrium).
