Harry F. Byrd, Jr. School of Business – Shenandoah University
600 Millwood Ave
Halpin Harrison Hall, Stimpson Auditorium Winchester, VA, 22601
Program is scheduled from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Registration is complimentary.
About the Program
The everyday demands of being a good PM, can sometimes be very demanding. Going above and beyond a project manager's assigned duties can be sometimes viewed as unrealistic, too time consuming and difficult to sustain. And worse, these extra efforts can often go overlooked. For a variety of reasons, doing more than "what is expected" can be daunting. Darla's presentation will provide examples of people and managers viewed as leaders and then examine what differentiates them. This session will also provide practical tools and tips to use in your daily PM jobs to move towards being that extra ordinary PM and a leader.
From Route 50
As you enter Winchester past the Nissan Dealership, continue over I-81. Just past I-81 Hwy 50 will split - take the split to the right (Millwood Avenue) toward the University and Halpin Harrison Hall will be a few blocks up on the right hand side, across the street from the Sheetz gas station.
From Route 7
Take route 7 into town (over I-81) to Pleasant Valley Avenue. Take a left on Pleasant Valley Avenue and go about 1 mile (past the funeral home and Jim Barnett park on the left). About 250 yards before the intersection of Millwood Avenue and Pleasant Valley there is an entrance on the left to the parking lot of Halpin Harrison Hall. If you miss this you can proceed to Millwood Avenue and take a left and access the parking lot from Millwood Avenue.
