This presentation will explore how a Project Management Professional might utilize Lean Six Sigma. Variation is the enemy of any process including Project Management. The tools and techniques of Lean Six Sigma are designed to seek out and eliminate variation. Mr. Stephen Lehocky will discuss the history of Lean and Six Sigma, the power as well as the limitations of Lean Six Sigma, and how the phases of Lean Six Sigma are similar to the PMP Processes.

About the Speaker

Stephen Lehocky

Mr. Stephen Lehocky has more than 30 years’ leadership experience, with a solid background and notable history in international operations development, expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and advanced manufacturing programs. Since 2007, he has provided senior consulting expertise in Europe.  Stephen works for CPS Professional Services, LLC an operations management firm that specializes in providing Lean Six Sigma Programs to Government Agencies.

Mr. Lehocky’s ability to drive revenue growth has provided him with the reputation of an accomplished business leader who builds measurable value through hands-on leadership, strategic business planning and solid relationship-building skills. Mr. Lehocky is currently serving as Lead Master Black Belt and Lean Instructor, providing support to the United States Army’s Lean Six Sigma Deployment.

Mr. Lehocky earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, and his MBA at California State University. He is presently pursuing a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering with a focus on using Human Factors Engineering to reduce and eliminate medical errors.  He holds certifications in Six Sigma Lean Master Black Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Quality Manager Six Sigma Green Belt. Mr. Lehocky is also certified as a Quality Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Quality Auditor, Software Quality Engineer, Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence and a Lean Bronze Certification.

Mr. Lehocky has also served on the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award 2010, 2011 and 2012 and he served on the Board of Examiners for the Texas Award of Performance Excellence 2011.
