Project Managers are typically well-versed in balancing scope, schedule, and cost. However, at times they may not be as comfortable promoting themselves or their companies. This presentation will discuss how to promote your company’s capabilities without sounding like a “used car salesman”. The discussion will include the art of listening, how to recognize and qualify an opportunity, using your team, why the soft sell is always more successful, how to say no, and how to turn disadvantages into opportunities.

About the Speaker

As CEO and Founder of Pinnacle Sales Solutions, LLC Louise A. Zullo has over 25 years experience in the computer industry serving the federal government and commercial markets, particularly in the Intelligence Community. She has held sales, business development and management positions since 1982. Ms. Zullo has concentrated on federal government activities since 1988, specializing in DoD and intelligence agencies. She has expertise in starting up federal practices for a number of companies, both large and small, who want to break into the federal marketplace, including lead generation and prospect development, partner development, advising on the web and federal publications’ presence, contracting, development of government-specific collateral, and other activities vital to starting up a federal government practice.

Ms. Zullo’s background includes management positions at a number of large corporations, including Cisco Systems, where she was Regional Sales Manager for Intelligence, Tivoli Systems, where she was the Intelligence Sales Manager, and Oracle Corporation, where she was Federal Product Sales Manager for New Media. Ms. Zullo has also served in a number of small companies where she was brought in to establish and build the government practice, including driving overall government product and partner growth strategies. These companies include e-Security, where she was the Director of Federal Business Development, Zaplet, Inc, where she was the VP, Government Sales, Interwoven, where she served as the Federal District Manager, and Verity, Inc, where she was hired as the first sales person for the company.

As CEO of Pinnacle Sales Solutions, LLC, Ms. Zullo provides business development, capture management, and market intelligence services to companies in the intelligence community. Ms. Zullo meets with government agencies, potential prime contractors, potential teammates, and potential partners on behalf of her clients, all with the purpose of driving and closing business for her clients. Ms. Zullo also provides research assistance on upcoming acquisitions.

Ms. Zullo earned a degree in Mathematics from the University of Connecticut and is a member of AFCEA. She holds an active TS SCI level security clearance with poly, and has comprehensive knowledge of the Intelligence Community and their critical programs.
