About the Program

The Design and Construction of Sustainable or LEED Buildings

Designing and constructing buildings are complex processes. An experienced team can efficiently deliver a sustainable building with minimal additional cost but the team needs to overcome challenges and obstacles. If the building is targeted for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, additional complexities exist from scheduling to team management. This presentation will outline the workflow of a design and construction project and show how sustainability or LEED fits into this flow.Strategies for successful delivery will be outlined and challenges will be indentified.
