About the Speaker
Alan A. Malinchak
Mr. Alan A. Malinchak is the VP/Chief Learning Officer at ManTech International (ManTech), where he leads ManTech University (MTU) enterprise education and training as well as alliance partnerships with academic universities, professional learning associations and training and education vendors. Al has over 35 years of leadership in learning, possessing an extensive commercial and public sector employment history of increasing leadership positions, solidified by his academic credentials, and pragmatic experience as a Special Agent with the FBI (Retired). Al has published Crime and Gerontology, several academic articles, unclassified publications for the FBI and most recently was featured as a co-author in the Winter 2009 issue of Training Industry Quarterly "Coaching and Mentoring a L+D Legacy", as well as co-authoring "Leading by Example: Exemplifying The Behavior You Want To See In Others" in the March 2009 issue of T+D Magazine, and appeared on the June 2009 videocast of Chief Learning Officer on the topic of "Knowledge Transfer at ManTech International" as well as "AFCEA’s Leadership Series: 5 Questions" on www.youtube.com.
Mr. Malinchak is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Business Administration from Northcentral University and possesses an A.B.D. in Criminal Justice Management from Rutgers University, an M.S. in Criminology from Florida State University, a B.G.S. in Social Sciences from The University of Michigan, and several executive education certificates and certifications. Al is a retired FBI Special Agent (1984-2004) and has an Honorable Discharge, as well as being a Disabled American Veteran, U.S. Navy, 1969- 1973; possesses a Top Secret Clearance; and serves as a member on the Board of the American Diabetes Association (ADA), the Armed Forces Electronics and Communications Association (AFCEA), and several advisory boards for industry training and education publications.
About the Washington Circle Luncheons
PMIWDC's Washington Circle luncheons are a series of free brownbag luncheons hosted at 2101 L St NW in Downtown DC. There are luncheons every fourth Wednesday of the month, unless posted otherwise.
